Besides Berlin, Evelyn Kuwertz also looks at other European metropolises. Starting with Toulouse, she creates paintings of the following cities: Paris, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Rome. At the same time, the interest in observing nature arose: the change in the daily light moods in the morning, within hours, these moments, were recorded in small oil sketches, which now form part of the oeuvre. The group of works Répétition consists of mixed media, screen printing and woodcuts. Inspired by modern dance, the movements are transferred directly into symbolic forms that reflect the dynamics of the dance. The Mouvements are representations of life-size figures in motion that correspond to the space. The tension between the individual and urbanity runs through the work as a permanent motif and finds its most concrete expression in the portrait. Related to the public space or focused on the face.
